Guest Resources: Digital Choice Food Pantry

Digital Choice Food Pantry

The Digital Choice Food Pantry is open Monday-Thursday from 8:00am – 2:00pm.

Registered pantry guests must have photo ID and Bread and Life pantry card. *If pantry ID card is lost, it can be replaced ONLY after 1pm, Mon-Thurs.

New guests must register for this program in person at Bread & Life. Bring at least one proof of ID and one proof of address. (See below for acceptable forms of ID and proof of address.) No proof of income needed.

A photo ID for you and each additional member of the household

  • Passport Green Card/Work Permit
  • Employee/Student ID

Mobile Market

Our partnership with the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation has helped us expand the Mobile Market Program to reach 40,000 individuals annually, mostly seniors and children helping to ensure that no one goes hungry and that the food available is healthy and nutritious.

Guest Resources: Mobile Soup Kitchen

Mobile Soup Kitchen (MSK)

Our Mobile Soup Kitchen provides Grab-and-Go hot meals directly to guests. All are welcome and no id necessary to receive a meal.

The MSK is the mobile extension of St John’s Bread & Life, reaching out to families and individuals who do not have easy access to food.

The MSK also offers information and referrals to directly connect guests with assistance to housing, counseling, health, detoxification/rehabilitation programs, public benefits, tax preparation, job training, and immigration services and other social service needs.

UJC provides legal counsel for matters regarding access to SNAP, cash assistance, Medicaid, Medicare, and other benefits. You will be told what documentation to bring with you for your individual need.

Tax Prep Services

Starting Saturday, February 3rd, and running until April 15th, the Grow Brooklyn Tax Program will be available on-site. Their services will be offered every Saturday and Sunday, with operating hours from 11 am to 7 pm, and they will be attending to tax clients from 12 pm to 6 pm.

Notary Public Services

St. John’s Bread & Life offers free Notary Public services to the community. Our dedicated and certified Notary Public ensures that important documents are authenticated with precision and integrity. By providing this essential service, Bread & Life empowers individuals with the necessary tools to navigate legal processes and safeguard their rights effectively.

Notary services are available between 8am and 1:30pm, Monday through Thursday. A government-issued photo idea is required. Walk-ins are welcome, however we suggest you make an appointment. Please call 718-574-0058 x122 or email [email protected] to make your appointment.
