As a registered Single Stop™ Provider, Bread and Life’s strives in assisting clients to become self- sufficient We help clients with obtaining benefits and connections with services:

• Free Tax Preparation Services - if your gross income is $58,000 or less you are eligible for our free tax preparation program. All services are free of charge and inlude free electronic filing for Federal and State tax returns.
  
  Last year we helped 1,300 filers get back $1,200,000.00 on their tax returns.
  
  We will file all forms including EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit) for both Federal and State, School Tax Credit and Renters Credit for both working and non-working individuals. Not sure if you are eligible for these credits? Contact us or stop in to see one of our specialists.
  
  Please refer to the table below for dates and times. We can also help you file for previous years as well as the current year.

• The Financial Clinic- can assit with Credit Scores, Credit Interest Rates, Financial Budgets, Identity Theft. This service is on a First Come First Serve basis.
  1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 9:00am - 11:30am 
  
  
• Food Stamp & Medicaid Online Enrollment- online Food Stamps and Medicaid Applications. Please see Social Services for a pre-screening and an appointment. Come and see if your apply for these benefits online on
  Tuesday and Thursday, appointment only
  (must have all proper and complete documents to apply)
  
  
• Project for Psychiatric Outreach to the Homeless (PPOH) - Please see Social Services to obtain an appointment.
  Days and Hours are Tuesday from 8am - 12pm.
  
  
• Urban Justice Center- specialized in problems concerning Food Stamps, Medicaid, Public Assistance and Housing Evictions. This service is on a First Come First Serve basis.
  Hours are from 9:00am -12:30pm
